The Harrington Jacket
The Harrington Jacket
The first Harrington jacket was allegedly made in the 1930s by the British clothing company Baracuta. Elvis Presley popularized the Baracuta G9 in his 1958 movie King Creole. The jacket got the nickname "Harrington" from the character Rodney Harrington in the 1960s prime time soap opera, Peyton Place. Worn less frequently these days, the stylishly-fitting jacket can still be found in the right fashion circles.
